Gluten-Free Life

I have been struggling with Gluten-free Diet for the last 7 months. Even though I am a trained Chef, and I am married to a Professional Chef, my life got upside down with Wheat Allergy Diagnosed (which I always knew, but chose to ignore it)..
Ignoring an Allergy or Intolarance is NOT very smart. The damage it does to our bodies, can be dangerous. In my case, having a very allergic body, got me to stay away from a lot of stuff that I love; cats, sports,.. and ruined my life by constant breaking down rashes, swollen eyes (frog eyes), allergic asthma. So Ignoring one item that I am allergic to, out of so many, sounded good to me. But at age 37, after baby #3, working out 20 hours a week with 3 times of Boot Camp for 18 months, eating 600 calories a day and not loosing a pound, brought me to doctors' offices... After so many blood work, and so many doctors, I was told I am very healthy. So what was the problem? What was blocking my weight loss?
Wheat Allergy! My body was telling me to stop eating Wheat! Bye bye Subway sandwiches, Clam Chowder, Brownies....
In shock and confused I hit the web, book stores and read anything and everything I could! Living in North East USA, near Local Organic farms was helpful but most gluten-free products were un-edible! 7 months later I am 20 pounds lighter and getting to know most of the products out there, learned how to reach the taste I want without wheat and gluten.
My husband, suggested I share my findings and hopefully help anyone out there who are struggling with this, like I was.
I will list the tasty products in market, recipes and places to shop... I am not a doctor, these are my opinions and personal choices!
